Dress Garden KANTE
2015｜Garden｜自然と一体になる体験をもたらすガーデン
上川町、森のガーデン内の大雪山系が見渡せる丘の上に設置している。
上川町はスキージャンプの選手を多く輩出してきた町であり、KANTEとは スキージャンプの踏切台を意味する。
"小さな町の大きな挑戦"という北海道ガーデンショー開催にかける町の想いを受け、大雪山への清々しい眺望と、スキージャンプにも通じる町の想いや、挑戦の瞬間に生まれる情動が心にオーヴァーラップするような展望台となることを目指した。

This is another version of the Dress Garden that was specially planned and made for Hokkaido Garden Show in 2015.
It was installed on a hill within a forest garden in Kamikawa, from where the famous Mt. Daisetsu can be overlooked. Kamikawa is known for many great ski jumpers. KANTE means the take-off table of the ski jumping platform.
The town of Kamigawa carried the passionate slogan in holding the Hokkaido Garden Show: "a big challenge for a small town". We aimed to make a viewing platform with a stunning scenery of the Mt. Daisetsu, that would impact one’s heart as strongly as the challenging spirit of the town which reminded us of bravery of a ski jumper.

季節によって植え替えを行い、異なった表情を見せる。写真は６月でパンジー、ビオラを中心とした植栽構成。
大雪山系をバックに立った時は、草花のガウンを羽織ったように見える。モデルは上野砂由紀さん。
